It is known for its stunning natural landscapes, including crystal-clear turquoise waters, hidden coves, and lush greenery. Compared to some of the more popular Greek islands, Paxos maintains a tranquil and laid-back atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for relaxation and rejuvenation. These villages are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Gaios:<\/span> Gaios is the main port and capital of Paxos. It is located on the eastern coast of the island and serves as the primary hub for transportation, dining, and entertainment. Gaios is known for its picturesque harbor, colorful waterfront buildings, and bustling atmosphere. Longos is home to a small harbor, traditional tavernas serving fresh seafood, and quaint cafes overlooking the sea.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lakka:<\/span> Located on the northern coast of Paxos, Lakka is a picturesque village nestled in a natural bay surrounded by olive groves and pine forests. Lakka is known for its stunning sandy beach, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant waterfront promenade. Consequently, wherever you decide to stay is fine! Last time I was there, I chose an AirBnb house in Apergatika village between Longos and Lakka but Gaios, Lakka, Magazia are great options in my opinion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>BEACHES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Paxos is blessed with numerous beautiful beaches, each offering its own unique charm and atmosphere &#8211; mainly pebbly fyi. Here are only some of the most popular beaches to visit on the island.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">On the west side:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Erimitis:<\/strong> Nature shows its power and creates beaches!!\u00a0 In 2008 after a landslide this beach was created in the center of the western side of the island. It is a spectacular pebbly beach, with stunning views, located amongst towering cliffs and overlooking the sunset. <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>Angel&#8217;s tip:<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">be prepared when visiting this beach as it is not organized at all. It is accessible by car\u00a0 till one point (dirt road) and then 15 minutes on foot. Accessible only by boat via an organized tour or by renting your own. (mainly from Gaios port)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>Angel&#8217;s tip:<\/strong> <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">On the west side of the island, most of the beaches are accessible only by boat! The island is full of small gorgeous caves and beaches around.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Close to Lakka:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Harami<\/strong>: a small sandy and pebble beach with crystal-clear waters and lush green surroundingswaters, making it ideal for families with children. The beach is surrounded by dramatic cliffs and offers sunbeds, umbrellas, and tavernas serving refreshments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Between Longos and Gaios:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Levrechio<\/strong>: a beautiful pebble beach with clear waters and stunning views of the surrounding coastline. It&#8217;s easily accessible and ideal for swimming and snorkeling.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kipiadi<\/strong>: a secluded and unspoiled beach located on the eastern coast of Paxos. The island&#8217;s western coast though is the best, with its dramatic cliffs and clear horizons! It provides some of the best vantage points for sunset watching. And an excursion in Antipaxos island and the western side of Paxos is a must! You can rent a boat or join a guided excursion to discover hidden beaches, sea caves, and remote coastal spots around the island. The name of the company is Paxos Classic cruises based in Gaios and captain is Giannis with its &#8220;Agios Sevastianos&#8221; boat.\u00a0 A local that loves to show you Paxos on his own lovely way and I cannot recommend him enough!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Antipaxos island is known for its stunning sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Visitors can spend a day exploring Antipaxos, swimming in the crystal-clear sea, and soaking up the sun on the pristine beaches.
