ACCESS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Drive to Pounta: Drive from Athens to the small port of Pounta, which is located in the southeastern part of the Peloponnese. The journey is approximately 4-5 hours by car (around 320 km or 200 miles). You can take the route via the Athens-Corinth National Road (A8) and then continue on the A7 motorway towards Tripoli, followed by the E961 and local roads to Pounta. Angel’s tip:<\/strong><\/span> If you don’t have a car, you can take a KTEL bus from Athens to Neapolis, and then take a taxi to the port of Pounta. The bus journey takes around 5-6 hours.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Then take the ferry from Pounta to Elafonisos. The ferry ride is short, typically around 10-15 minutes, and ferries run frequently, especially during the summer months. You can take your car on the ferry, which is convenient for exploring the island. Angel’s tip:<\/strong><\/span> Ferry tickets can be purchased at the port and the cost is low. It’s a straightforward process, and there’s usually no need to book in advance unless you’re traveling during peak tourist season.<\/span>\"\"<\/li>\n

    Ideally have your own car to discover easily this small island. If not, you can either walk or rent a car or motorbike. Elafonisos is a small island, and many areas can be explored on foot. Rentals are available near the port and in the main town.<\/p>\n
