Just a short walk from here, you\u2019ll find the Church of Saint Spyridon, where Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first Governor of Greece, was assassinated in 1831\u2014a key moment in modern Greek history. Wandering through the old town, you\u2019ll see influences from Venetian, Ottoman and neoclassical architecture, giving the city its unique character! This is where all the magic is: charming alleys, neoclassical houses, cute caf\u00e9s, bars and all the main sights within walking distance.
