THE MOST UNIQUE STAYS OF MY LIFE

I’ve stayed in many hotels throughout my travels, but only a few truly impressed me – the kind that I’d return to in a heartbeat.

Below are some of the most memorable and unique places I’ve experienced and genuinely recommend.

Why? Whether it’s their stunning setup, dreamy location, kind service, excellent value for money, or simply their beauty and uniqueness… each one left a lasting impression.

ROYAL PEARL ISLAND CHIOS HOTEL & SPA

Location: Just outside Chios Town, Chios Island – Greece

Reason: modern design, relaxing ambiance, excellent rooms, warm service. Don’t miss dining at their Mastihi Restaurant – the food is outstanding!

Angel’s tip: Stay in one of the swim-up suites for a luxurious, private pool experience.

SHUMBALALA GAME LODGE

Location: Thornybush Private Nature Reserve, Kruger National Park – South Africa

Reason: boutique lodge with delicious food, excellent spacious rooms, exquisite service, incredible safari experience, relaxing ambiance.

Angel’s tip: I booked with the help of the company “African Safari Group” but you can find them in booking.com too. Package include safari twice a day, 3 meals and unlimited wines/beverages.

BILLY’S BOATHOUSE (SYRMA)

Location: Fyropotamos village, Milos Island – Greece

Reason: uniqueness, location, experience

Angel’s tip: This is not your typical hotel – it’s a restored fisherman’s house (syrma) right on the sea. Fall asleep to the sound of waves and enjoy a real Cycladic experience.

Location: Zambiani Beach in Zanzibar Island, Tanzania

Reason: beauty, location, service

Angel’s tip: Opt for the bungalows next to the swimming pool

MEMORIES AICHA LUXURY CAMP

Location: Wadi Rum desert, Jordan

Reason: beauty, location, uniqueness

ONEIRO SUITES

Location: Astypalaia city center in Astypalaia island, Dodecanese – Greece

Reason: beauty, location, customer service

Angel’s tip: The rooms with the magnificent castle/windmills view and the private  jacuzzi/ swimming pool are really incredible.

CARUS CAPPADOCIA HOTEL

Location: Göreme, Cappadocia – Turkey

Reason: view, location, customer service, breakfast

Angel’s tip: The view of the hot air balloons from their terrace is absolutely magical! They even have their own hot air balloon. Book a cave room just for the experience but be prepared for bad mobile signal.

SUITES OF THE GODS

Location: Megalochori village, Santorini island – Greece

Reason: beauty, view, location, uniqueness

Angel’s tip: Go off season for better booking rates. Their main swimming pool has a really incredible view!

SERENGETI MARA RIVER CAMP

Location: North Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Reason: location, customer service, uniqueness

Angel’s tip: Great convenient rooms in the national park with wild animals around your tents, unique camp with excellent employees and service!

ADDRESS DUBAI MARINA

Location: Dubai Marina, Dubai – United Arab Emirates

Reason: location, view, food

Angel’s tip: I didn’t actually stay in this hotel but went there several times since I really loved it. Ideal for relaxing moments in the huge swimming pool with incredible view. I loved the big screen inside the swimming pool as you can see below. Residents of the hotel have priority.

NOVA GALAXY VILLAGE

Location: Rovaniemi, Lapland – Finland

Reason: beauty, location, service, uniqueness

Angel’s tip: Ideal for one night and possible to see the Northern lights from there! Please note that every glass Igloo has its private sauna where you can shower (as there is not shower inside the igloo)
