How to Get to Trizonia Island

From Athens: Start your drive towards Patra, continue past the Rio–Antirrio bridge, head to Nafpaktos, and from there it’s just a 20-minute scenic drive to Glyfada village in Phocis (mainland).

From Glyfada to Trizonia: Small boats shuttle visitors to Trizonia in just 4-5 minutes. The ticket costs 2–3€ per person (one way), and boats run frequently, especially in the summer.

Trizonia is perfect for a quiet weekend, a romantic getaway, or a family trip. I visited for a friend’s wedding and ended up staying three nights — it was the perfect slow escape.

I stayed at Trizonia Bay hotel and highly recommend it! Renovated rooms, a lovely swimming pool, and panoramic views made it feel like a hidden paradise.

While Trizonia doesn’t have dramatic beaches, its crystal-clear waters are still great for a swim. Locals even swim in the port — it’s that clean! There are also a few small pebbly coves around the island you can discover on foot.
